It's Mid-term at the boarding school and the only children allowed to stay are those on detention, So Jeremie with help from the boys, graffiti tags the school to get grounded at school, so he can monitor lyoko (remember this was 2003 and wireless broadband was still science fiction).

The other Warriors have problems too-Ulrich's Parents have hired tutors, Yumi is leaving town and Odd is stuck in customs after trying to smuggle Kiwi whilst returning home to his Disclosed Country Of Origin...Though Word Of God claims he is Italian!
This Episodes disaster Du Jour is Xana's Shadow form spilling some chemical barrels and combining into a Purple Haze, Which spreads and traps Jim and Sissi in a tiny room, the others drop everything and Ulrich the one still in Burgundy, goes to save the prisoners, With Sissi putting 2 and 2 together. On Lyoko, Xana lulls Aelita, Odd and Yumi in a false sense of security, causing an entire plateau to crumble. However Yumi uses her Telekinesis For the 1st time and Aelita does that Sustained Note/Yoga pose/ coding thing to make a bridge-It'll be months before it's named but this power is called Creativity to get to the tower.
Episode 4, Log Book is a character development-driven episode for Ulrich, Yumi and Sissi. To get Ulrich's attentions Sissi steals his dairy, one that contains entries of his adventures in Lyoko. Ulrich may not it, but he must tolerate Sissi to get it back. Yumi is told and takes it well(!)
Xana's Attack is to possess an electric school bus and detour it to crash into a Petro-Chemical Plant. That sounds all too familiar
Odd jumps out before Xana could take control of the doors and before Jim's "fixing" dooms all of the class. Yumi breaks into Sissi's room and finds a diary-except it's not Ulrich's, it's Sissi's! Ignoring that old adage that 2 wrongs don't make a right, Yumi phones Sissi to reveal she is blackmailing the Blackmailer. Sissi learns her lesson, acting as a go between for Jeremie in the factory...It's just a shame the return to the past will turn her back into the Alpha Bitch yet again!
On Lyoko Odd has arrived and replaced Yumi in Lyoko's Desert zone, which suffers a sandstorm and the Megatank using the occurrence to stalk our heroes, some Le Parkour shit form odd launches Aelita into the Red tower... and her is where I have a rant!
Once Aelita enters a Red Tower we have the same deactivation animation before a faster one in mid-season two. the problem with the 1st animation is that it's too slow, Aelita is having a leisurely stroll to the centre of the tower, a overdramatic float to the top and a second stroll to the centre, whilst in the real world, the heroes are bracing themselves for the worst. It's false drama, I know, but it gets to ridiculous levels in episode 9, when Xana get's control of a Death Laser!
