After 5 YEARS OF REVIEWS Let's Pour one out for the end of Code Lyoko.

Episode 93, Down to Earth starts with Jeremy, giving the warriors good news for a change! He has created Something from the universal reset, A multi agent system to Counter the hundred fold processing power XANA now wields against them, Destroying it and it's forces for good, But before Jeremy even considers using his new Program, William has to be rescued, which can only be done when Aelita destroys the supercalculator that powers the ice Replika, While Someone destroys William's  avatar, which is easier said than done!

After what seems like forever Fake William returns, the Naive Program is told by Jim "his" parents are here, Since our heroes have being working on keeping William's Kidnapping and Brainwashing a secret, the many lies used to cover up Williams absences are slowly unraveling, Not helped by Fake William himself saying he is a Program when Jim calls him a "Piece of Work"

Odd and Aelita are Energized back to Siberia, While Yumi and Ulrich have the tall order of killing William. Yumi does ask if Ulrich please not be jealous if William chooses to Befriend her, But Ulrich denies that he still has feelings for her.

We see what the brains from the last episode may have been used for, as it looks like The Rushkis were making killer robots in 06.

Leading the charge on the back of a Manta, William enters stage right while in Russia, the killer robots are on the move towards the away team. 

Meanwhile the Kollosus rises from the Digital Sea, But Jeremy uses an incomplete version of the Multi Agent System to freeze the Kollosus in a new ice floe, Odd holds off the robot army as Aelita hacks the system. As the Kollosus breaks free, the plan fails... except Odd died on Earth which means as William takes time to gloat, Odd Snipes him with an arrow. 

William is now free but the Skidbaldnir, central to Replika Travel, is now destroyed. A bait and switch while the adults are distracted and William is Returned, who vaguely remembers what happened to him, only that he was under Xana"s Control, Hopefully he can return to being the William everyone knew....and that worries Ulrich.

For all intensive purposes, Episode 94 is the Real Finale, as episode 95 is more of an Epilogue and clip show than anything of merit. This is the final chance to fuck XANA, and by that I really mean...we'll keep Reading!

We open with Aelita having a Prophetic Nightmare of Franz, in his Guardian form, Dying from an Attack in Carthage. 

Waking screaming from a nightmare, Aelita takes a fanservice shower (THIRTEEN YEARS OLD!) She meets Jeremy for the big day, the final battle, which Jeremy will see to the end, even if it means he dies of exhaustion.

William realizes that while he was gone, Something happened to convince people he wasn't and to make him feel unwanted our heroes balk on him sitting for lunch, Aelita and Yumi agree that to avoid this from happening again, They can be friends with William, but he cannot rejoin the Warriors.

As Jeremy finishes the Multi-Agent Program an email claiming to be Franz Hopper is sent to his computer. The Time has Come, even William wants to score, But Is waved off, But it doesn't stop Sissi from sticking her nose in. However William does come in clutch to distract Sissi as the others get to the factory.

When they Arrive So does William, He wants Revenge, But Jeremy Proposes to Only Virtualize William as a last resort.

Before The Battle, Aelita says he Goodbyes to her Father. Xana Attacks and Repossesses William. Poor Sucker can't catch a break! Jeremy is out of action, so Yumi Commits Sudoko to return to deal with William, Ironically being Stalked by an obsessive William, once again!

Franz has sent all the data he owns to Jeremy, but for it to work, it has to be launched in the one place where all of the data will reach all of Lyoko: Carthage. Meaning Aelita's Dream may play out. It took Everything Ulrich had, even his body, but the Kollosus is destroyed! Ulrich is not done yet, he has to save Yumi.

The Events of Aelita's Dream comes to pass, as Franz uses his life energy as a catalyst to Start the Multi-agent Program, for the last time Aelita activates Code: Lyoko and xana is Fucked, because Jeremy had Based the design of his Program....on Sperm! 

"GET AROUND, ROUND, ROUND, I GET AROUND!"

The Replikas are gone Xana is Violently expunged from William's Body as the last time we see is Aelita return to Earth, held gently by Jeremy as She Cries over Her Father. The World is saved but at a cost!

Echoes is a Clip Show and Epilogue, There is some things of merit and that's because Sissi learns the truth and tries to expose them after learning from Jeremy's Video Diary which he kept because his memory was wiped every time he used Return to the past on the Begining, that Sissi had directly or indirectly interfered in their mission. (She did Betray the Team in the Origin Story after all) the others except her as friends.

And I Know what you are going to say!

"BUT EAMONN, THE STORY IS NOT OVER WHAT ABOUT CODE LYOKO: EVOLUTION? YOU SAID YOU'LL TALK ABOUT CODE LYOKO EVOLUTION WHEN YOU GOT TO THE FINALE!" 

OK I WILL!

Code Lyoko Evolution.......SUCKS!

In 2012, to Grand Fervour online, a Live Action 3D animation sequel was announced. Hype caused by for how this show, Now driven to cult status by Lovers of animation and Retroviewers was high, to the point there were even interviews with the actors with their faces obscured by the faces of their characters, to prolong the mystery. It sucked that the show didn't make it to Europe Dubbed, but on YouTube someone made sure that the show was Subbed before the Dub was Dropped.

They Dropped something alright.

Despite the upgrade to the 3D, the Casting was mocked for its Choices in actors who for named minor Characters, were either the wrong hair Colour,

Sissi. All that build and they just give you one line.

The Wrong Age,

Mrs Hertz

The wrong Size,

Off course, your Comic Relief Gym Teacher should be fat, that's the joke!

Or in the case of Sam, The Wrong Ethnicity!

But as the Quality Control of this Last season can Attest, You can ignore Visual Hiccups, if the story is good,

Code Lyoko Evolution's story is not good!

Xana is not dead, but now a Ghostly  bowl cut Child of Ambiguous Gender, who data was accidentally imbued onto our heroes that he can collect by hugging them and draining their souls. Our new Villain Professor Tylon is a a greedy capitalist, Who wants Lyoko because SHUT UP! Who is also an allegory for Climate change deniers because he doesn't believe XANA exists, Five Minutes of the show is wasted on Odd Trying and failing to impress Sam, But the worst thing they did was introduce a character who broke the fandom

It's time we talked about Code Lyoko's own Megaforce, let's talk About Laura Gauthier.

First of all, Don't Attack Actors for playing bad parts in badly written shows, Don't do that! Plus the show came out in 2012, when they were teenagers, so 1, they probably don't remember, and 2, she is probably a lot better she was back then, So I'm Stopping it before it starts!

So the character of Laura was Introduced in universe as a second Control Room Operator. As a Story Device, Laura made sense, after all, 2012 was 6 years after the show ended, a Show while it aired on Cartoon Network, was not produced by Warner Bros, so CN had no obligations to repeat a show they had no say in, and given said show was left on a website to rot, people who watched the entire show were few in number anyway. So Laura is a writing tool called an Audience Surrogate! She was the new kid at school, who like the audience, needed to be explained the backstory to move the existing story or world building of something not of the norm. It's a Trope that is used a lot, the best examples being Rose Tyler from Doctor who or Gus Griswold from Recess.

But Laura soon became a Mary Sue Character, wanting Jeremy-Senpai to Notice her, leading her to put Aelita in danger all because she wanted Belpois' Bell-End! So to make sure she doesn't fail again, just like old times, they wipe her memory,

..... only to be Kidnapped by Tylon Cooperation, showed footage of the avatars and she blabs their names, because she has no memory on keeping it a Secret. 

Oh and the show ends on a cliffhanger, Anthea Hopper, Aelita's mother is alive, and married to and works for Professor Tylon, so we have a show that will never be resolved.

Back to season 4 and it's a mixed bag, Without the show ending it's run on TV, Quality Control Standards are not the same as they were. But you can ignore that is the story is good, and apart from some filler and the disaster that was the second half of Distant Memory, it's didn't defer from the story too much!

For Character Development in season 4, Of all the minor characters, Jim and Sissi get the most development. Jim, whose stories of World Travel, Myriad Employment and Badassary are proven true and gets the respect of Jeremy when Both are driven to use Jim's Survivalist lessons in practice! Sissi continues to be an annoyance, and as rushed as "Stop being a Racist Jerk and we can be friends"  seems out of context, learning that she played some contribution to world domination, caused Sissi a nervous breakdown, So she's not completely heartless.

With the Least character development is Odd who gone through Flanderization instead, All Odd does is Chat up girls, Eat or Tell bad jokes. He gets more stupid as he turns superstitious in one episode and caused the events of Wrong exposure to happen, even his own arc fails as though it leads to Sissi being more friendly, She is not Odd's Girlfriend in Evolution and she only gets one line of Dialogue. Kiwi gets more Development than his owner!

Yumi have the "Will they, won't they" Storyline after the break up and nothing else, with Ulrich getting no resolution on his parents, Especially his father.

While Yumi has more of a presence, I hate how Generic they made Yumi's Costume for season 4, Changing it from a cool and Contemporary Geisha to a Generic Ninja, this during a time in 2004 to 2006 every kids station had at least one ninja themed show and for Code Lyoko a French Show to just boil down its only Asian character to just a ninja is so disappointing. It gets worse in Evolution as her Fan Weapons are replaced with a Bo-Staff.

Jeremy Despite his little Freudian Excuse if his Multi Agent System looking like that! Jeremy proves to be a tough nut to crack emotionally, if course Xana is a threat, but if Aelita, the main target of attacks can relax, then Jeremy usually follows suit, but it had lead to mistakes, or put in a Situation when making Xana stronger with returns to the past was the only solution. He has being more keen to run into danger though rather that hedging his bets to get to the factory, especially when Aelita Is In Danger

Speaking of, Aelita goes through a somewhat Bipolar Direction, Sure her Focus is on life after XANA is Destroyed and While People Criticize Aelita falling into the trap in Distant Memory, She went In to Give her father a piece of her mind for abandoning her In Lyoko for 12 years.

William is a tale of two characters, the Naive Pungeon master Fake William, and the mind controlled brooding Edge lord, sadly this is nothing like the Revenants of Mortal Kombat, the heel turn doesn't make him guilt trip the heroes, no William just growls and speaks like the Hulk. And despite just looking like a black Boiler suit because EVIL! There is actually a lot of Subtext here.

His Buster Sword and Corset armour are based in the real life German knights, the Doppel Warriors. Now Consider in Xana awakens, Jeremy calls the avatars the result of  scans of one's subconscious and though Williams avatar fits in the seasons where everyone is put in Boiler suits, there are hints of his worse nature in his second form.

Consider This:

William is based on a Doppel Warrior. Named after their Two handed swords. Doppel is German for Double, but we know Doppel from a more sinister Phrase.

Doppelganger.

A spirit who kills and Replaces the original.

He wants to replace the German.

In meeting Yumi, he wanted her to be his. He has been obsessive before, graffiti tagging the name of a girl on the walls of his previous School. The corset is probably a nod to his Tortured Soul, as in his pretentious ramblings in his debut episode. But to do this his avatar has a smoke power that is faster than Ulrich's Super Sprint. His sword is bigger and stronger than Ulrich's (maybe he's compensating for something?)

In Season 4, Under Xana's  dark design, Edict is taken up a notch. Granting him upgrades to every heroes power. Turning simple Childish One-upmanship to a message of Domination.

For a 4 season show with 95 seasons, even a Children's Show is now unheard of. Especially for a Cartoon Network show that was created by an Independent Studio Like Monscooop later Taffy Productions and Because of that it was an Uphill Battle, that Moonscoop eventually lost, relegating it's season 3 and 4 run to a website. As for it's Legacy, Code Lyoko is underrated, as it comes from the end of the Terrestrial vs Cable Era. You could only watch Code Lyoko on Satellite, and hope the national Stations would pick up certain shows for free! Sadly Code Lyoko suffered the same Kiss of Death, Avatar the last Airbender Did: It got Dubbed into Welsh! (While Avatar got Dubbed into Irish) If your Show got dubbed into Irish, Scots Gael or Welsh when the rights got sold to Britain, Then it was over, Sky was too expensive, and the consensus was if you had to PAY MONEY! to understand the plot, then THANK YOU, FUCK YOU, BYE!

It wouldn't be til the advent of Retroviewers, that people would remember the show and make Videos and Blogs (like this one!) lauding over the Mature Storytelling and Smooth 3D Animation. (everything from the Origin Story beyond still holds up!). The Story is not perfect though, It starts In Media Rias like all French Cartoons and the English voicecast can grate at times.

Another Factor in it's Supposed Failure is the It's Presence as a toy franchise. When you toys are being sold in Newsagents and Poundshops, It's Bad News. However this brings me to a funny story. By 2007 kix! (Now Pop Max!), a channel like Pop, shows Franchise programming on freeview, with Code Lyoko as it major shows. So Imagine my Surprise at Christmas of that year, the Pound Shops In Wexford Town was swamped because they sold Code Lyoko Toys, all because A free-to-air channel gave the show a new lease on life. 

Sadly, the same could not be said of it's Video games, the first Rise of Xana was a mix clunky mix of 2d Point and Click and unplayable Platformer Riddle with Camera Screw. But what do you expect from a Company called the Games Factory, they just crapped out a Basic Platformer and slapped a franchise on it!

Later on there was Test-Footage for a MMORPG, but that fell to the wayside.

A series of Young Adult Book were published following a College Aged Odd and a Mysterious Girl called Ava, Sadly the books were only Available in French and Italian.

Code Lyoko was a show before it's time, From a small Studio which Became the Little Engine that Could, Developed from a short called Garage kids the Show became Moonscoop's biggest hits. But Sadly, Taffy would Close it's Door after creating that hit-or-Miss Fantastic Four Cartoon. But before then they created other shows, Noticeably The Cinematic scaled Oban Star-Racers and I.N.K.-Invisible Network Of Kids, which you should look into because it stars the C:L Cast In a more Comedic School Based Spy Drama that if you close your eyes and Listen, comes of as a Code Lyoko parody!

Like Teen Titans Go! But Without All the Disrespect to it's Fandom!

For Me These Reviews Have Being the Best 5 years of My "Career" as a Journeyman Reviewer, But all Good things must Sadly come to an End. It has Being Fun doing this on the month i can't or won't be working on a PPV,  and of Something grabs my Attention, Whose to say that this Would be my only foray into an episode to episode Retroviewing?

TICKET TO HEAVEN: Code Lyoko: Return to the past, Now!: Episodes 88-90: Will We Make It Through?

 So the Premise of Cousins, Once Removed is the Daniel Cooler Daniel Meme, But in a twist, This Patrick character, despite looking like Ulrich dressed as James Dean, and having his voice actor, is actually Jeremy's Cousin! Jeremy is the one who needs to learn a lesson on forgiveness and asking for help....

.... A lesson he wouldn't have the need to be driven home, if Patrick and Sissi didn't break into Jeremy's Room to teach him a lesson by hacking his programs with Herve's help, Leaving The Skidbaldnir weak to attack, while Xana Possesses Sissi and Herve, While Aelita is attacked by a squid with a drill-bit for a thorax, called Kalamar in it's one and only appearance

Jeremy switches off the electricity at the mains to stop XANA/HERVE hacking the files, and to save his cousin's life, He tells Aelita to Launch s return to the past, ending the episode, quite literally, having A do-over...until we learn Patrick was never going to Enroll here, So Patrick got Chuck Cunninghamed 

But that was a our last Filler Episode, with 6 shows left, the kid gloves are off!

Episode 89, Music To Soothe the Savage Beast is the conclusion to Aelita's Character Arc, Her Rediscovered Musical Talent that had led her winning a competition to be an opening DJ to a band we previously met, But she is suffering from stage Fright, while Odd continues to be the classroom Casanova, by trying to blag an extra ticket for background character of the week. But the  pressure is getting too much, not helped by Jeremy working through the night, So an upset Aelita leaves the ticket for him. Odd gives Odd a ticket on the condition she is Ulrich's Date.

It's the night if the concert and Odd's Dirty Dealing Bites him when Sissi and the Background character reject him, Yumi lies to a nervous Aelita that Jeremy is here, but he isn't. Xana attacks and because Jeremy stayed at Kadic Academy to detect it, he can warn the others, but it's too late, Xana possesses a Road Manager to kidnap Aelita as Chris' band start without her, as an Extended remix of the shows intro plays out as Ulrich deals with a possessed Millie and Tamiya, as the Possessed Roadie, Sophie brings an unconscious Aelita to the factory to virtualize on Lyoko's Mountain Zone, Surrounded by Monsters and William, as Yumi and Odd Join the fray, Jeremy tying up XANA/SOPHIE after she is knocked from behind. But XANA/SOPHIE frees herself and knocks out Jeremy, tampering with all his best laid plans. William kills Yumi's avatar, Just as Her Fans Finish him off!

An Errant Lightning Bolt by XANA/TAMIYA Blasts over the hall, which the band takes in stride, playing an extended version of the show's Outro as the fight reaches its dramatic end. It also has lyrics!

ContentID no longer allows me to link music anymore so instead check this episode out! Jeremy launches a return to the past and attends the concert, backstage the couple forgiving each other for their past actions, as Aelita takes to the stage as her friends cheer her on!

Music To Soothe the Savage Beast is A Terrific Episode, It has Character Development, Humour, Action, Fanservice (In Music and A new DJ Costume For Aelita) and the best part? Realizing that Aelita's arc was put on the Backburner for a long time, They give us a lot with it never feeling Rushed!

And it get better in the Last Episode we cover Today, Wrong Exposure.

Desperate on a leg up on XANA, Jeremy and Aelita Explore Her former home, the Heritage. Sifting through boxes, they find a photograph of a young Aelita with her father, Franz Hopper, in what looks like Kadic Academy's Science Room, on the blackboard are 2 equations that maybe Useful.

Odd in his quest to woo the Background character of the week, Accidentally sends the photo to Sissi, who the principal's daughter looks at it and vaguely Remembers Franz. 

Sissi shows a physical Copy to her father and he cannot believe Aelita is somehow related to one of his former employees, One that Disappeared from his house so abruptly in 1992, remembering that the Story he was told is the Aelita is her cousin, all the heroes are brought in to answer tough questions

However Jeremy uses the logic that the girl in the photo is one taken timestamped 1992, who appears to be 9 years old, meaning this girl would be 22 years old, not 13. (of course we know that Aelita was sealed in Lyoko and In Suspensed Animation, which slowed her aging by a 3rd, making her 12 by the First season and 13 by staying a year in reality.) However Delmas is not convinced and confines the heroes in the library as he does a simple search of his records as Xana attacks.

Possessing Mr Delmas to separate Aelita from the others, knocking her out to virtualize her so he can kill her, Odd Stays behind to deal with XANA/DELMAS as Yumi and Ulrich are sent to the forest zone where Xana has used the Psycozoa To implant Suicidal Thoughts into Aelita! which can only be solved by Mercy killing her Avatar!

KID'S SHOW!

But it turns out the equations which Jeremy dismissed as a Universal Reset So readily as useless, Is Exactly what he need to get out of this jam, It works at a cost of weakening every thing touched by the shockwave, Friend or Foe alike. Ulrich Powers through, carrying  a weakened Aelita to deactivate the tower, as Jeremy returns to the past.

Afterwards Aelita Explains she remembers her real Surname, It's Schaffer: Franz is her father's Middle Name, His real name is Waldo Schaffer (as in the name of the file in the second season and beyond's outro!) Aelita explains he came to work as a science teacher to lie low, but as far as anyone Asks Aelita Stones is an Orphan, though she keeps the photograph as a reminder of better times.

Next Wednesday, we have the Penultimate Episode of Code Lyoko return to the past now! as we get closer to the Final Battle. As we Return, the 1st of 2 last times, To the Past....

NOW!

TICKET TO HEAVEN:CODE LYOKO RETURN TO THE PAST NOW!: EPISODES 86-87 GIVING ALL THAT WE GOT!

 We open in an Exciting Dog Fight in the Red Zone. Our heroes Minisubs are fighting and chasing after William's Minisub. Yes inexplicably, without any reason Or  explanation why, but William has a MiniSkid Submarine now. They could explain it away, but at this point the show was on its last legs, not helped by it being relegated to a website for the remainder of It's run.

The plot of this episode, it's 86th, Canine Conundrum, is that Our heroes are sick of Odd's Unruly Dog, Kiwi. So to teach Odd a Lesson, Kiwi is locked in the factory for 2 weeks, or til it learns how to behave. Just as XANA attacks Jeremy's Room and Possesses the Kiwi-2 robot from Season 1.

Jim is hosting Penchak Silat classes for the new term, this year Yumi's brother Hiroki and his best friend Johnny are joining and Sissi is rejoining. (She had revealed in season 2 she took Silat classes to impress Ulrich. And like the Harbingers of things to come that they are, here are the Junior Reporters. Sure enough the gym is the target for a replicating army of Kiwi-2s, who seriously bite Johnny and Millie. The only way they can escape to tell Jim Everything, Since Jeremy can just erase everyone's  memories with a Return to the past later, While Odd and Aelita deal with William and a Whole Zoo of Beasties, Yumi manages to escape as Ulrich causes a distraction. Jim answers Ulrich's phone meaning Jeremy will have to launch the return program, even if it makes XANA stronger. Yumi's arrives collapsed In the lift with 2 of the robots, who attack their original creator, as he falls he mistypes a command to reload Odd's laser arrows accidentally giving him a new power, an Explosive Death Punch as if Odd didn't already has New powers on the fly. With Odd out of Action, Aelita Creates a Clone which William captures and Throws into the Digital Sea while Jeremy is convinced his girlfriend is really dead. (See even the characters in Universe know it's false Drama!)

And so we ends with Kiwi not learning anything from his confinement as he fouls Odd's trousers.

Space ODDity continues with Kiwi as the plot device, as it's Room Inspection Week once again. And Yumi is saddled with the mutt, who in turn, saddles Hiroki, who in the men in black episode once killed Odd's Tamagotchi. His worry for his dog had put the already Nonchalant Odd off his game to a replika powered by that pesky Death Laser Satellite, so destroying the super computer on board will finally end that Avenue of attack in the future. They find that the Satellite is being used official as a space station in 10 days. But unofficially Xana is using it as a factory for Miniature Megatanks. Which I will now call minitanks.

In the Replika of Carthage, XANA Itself is trying to Wipe the Skid's Data. so like season 2, Ulrich must find the Key to deactivate the traps. On the space Station. Our Away team formulate a plan to destroy the Supercomputer but make it look accidental before the Crew arrive and claim Sabotage. so they find a waterpipe to burst, just as the Minitanks activate to attack, so Odd opens the Airlock to remove them!

 

Somehow not Dead, Odd and Yumi damage the Waterpipe. Sensing Defeat William leaves and as the Replika has no power source anymore, Jeremy can delete it, and so the Episode ends with Yumi's parents finding out about Kiwi....and fawning over the creature.

Yeah. It's a short One This week, like I Said, Anything beyond season 2 is new territory for me, so i don't know what is filler and what Story Progression, However next week, Tuesday we have 3 episodes since Cousins Once Removed Is A filler! we are Moving to close to 90 episodes and sadly to the end but we will enjoy ourselves when we....

RETURN TO THE PAST, NOW!

TICKET TO HEAVEN: CODE LYOKO: RETURN TO THE PAST, NOW!: EPISODES 84-85: SAVE ALL THAT WE LOVE

 

To kick off our final traipse into this beloved series, Episode 84, Guided Missiles, Jeremy has won an Experience of a life-time: a trip on a fighter jet, which Odd wanted to win, so he sent applications of all his friends (without their permission) to maximize his chances of winning. However, the prize is non-transferable. Aelita gets a postcard from Canada, despite the living computer A.I./ daughter of a wanted terrorist who's parents are both (assumed) dead and it makes her wonder if one of her friends sent it to make her feel better. Given that she died in the last episode (even though I went over that she shouldn't have!)

Later that day, Jeremy arrives at the airfield, turns out, he is afraid of flying. So they decide to just have a photoshoot In the cockpit, and film the stunts without him.

But Wouldn't You Know Who Won The Pony, XANA takes control of the jet fighter with Jeremy inside.

The Pilot, Greg, who was trapped with Jeremy is electrocuted when he tries to reboot the system. Jeremy gets in contact with the factory and tells the warriors that the fighter jet, used for as a prize in a children's Magazine, is armed with Missiles!

So XANA wants to cause mayhem before offing his erstwhile nemesis. His coordinates put him on a b-line to crash into the factory. They Have 20 minutes to save The world, to deactivate the Red Tower in the ice zone, With Aelita going without Jeremy as control, they have no vehicles to get to the tower. And to make matters worse, the air force plan to shoot the jet out of the sky!

The warriors use their tried and tested method of distraction, while Aelita legs it to the tower. But that doesn't work on William who kidnaps her.

Xana has jammed the Ejector Seat On the Jet. One by One with Aelita bound by William's Power. The Heroes are Returned to Reality, Ulrich get a shot in a frees Aelita who Deactivates the Tower. With Jeremy telling the air force about he has no choice But activate Return To the Past, making Xana stronger the next time. And so it ends with Aelita finding out Jeremy sent the postcard to cheer her up, and Odd using Jeremy's name to go the Jet Experience...and crying like a baby throughout!

We End with 85, Kadic Bombshell, Sissi Penpal from Iceland called Brindje ("Brinda") The Emponymous Kadic Bombshell, who despite turning the heads of every male student, she finds Odd the most interesting, Something that causes the girl's pangs of Jealously when she comes on strong to their respective boyfriends,(despite Yumi and Ulrich claiming...

...So the heroes have an intervention with Odd, The Jealously has caused Friction, which causes Odd to get angry and leave on a date, and Quicker than you can say Pirates of Penzance, Odd uses his identity as a Superhero to impress a girl!

Bringing Brindje to the factory, she presses a few buttons that interferes with Jeremy's systems, the Tower Warning Alarm goes off, before it stops abruptly. When Jeremy sees what he Odd has done, he kicks him off the team, Meaning the warriors are going in blind til he fixes it!

Aelita is Virtualised onto the Wrong Zone, there is another problem too, She cannot return to Reality, and despite no Attack on Earth, Xana's Monsters are programmed to attack Humans on sight. And now, William is here. Odd has chose a stranger over his friends and as Jeremy surmises,  his friends are sent to an entirely different zone as Aelita thankfully using a way-tower sends them to the Mountain zone to rescue her. Seeing Brindje swarmed by male Students at the swimming pool, Odd leaves, not that she notices. Odd arrives to save the day, just as Yumi and Ulrich are taking out. Odd apologizes and asks if they are going to return to the past. Jeremy says that wont be necessary...Turns out Sissi "Convinced" Brindje to leave early, so she can have all the male attention again, only for Odd to continue to vie for Sissi's Attention!

CODE LYOKO: RETURN TO THE PAST, NOW!: EPISODES 78-79: AMAZON ORDERED ASSKICKING (REMASTERED)

 We open With Lab Rat and Jeremy tells Odd, Aelita and Ulrich during lunch he created a New Power- "Energising" A state that will allow Avatars to Return to Earth with their Suits, Weapons and Powers intact. Yumi is angry at Ulrich for forgetting her Birthday yesterday, which he didn't even know. He can't even go and buy a present because he's in detention for supposedly throwing a fish at Jim. Odd decides to make it up to his roommate, after all, Odd threw the fish at Jim, much to Ulrich's annoyance.

That night, using the Skid to traverse the Digital Sea, to XANA'S Replikas, which Jeremy can use as a reference point of the other Supercomputers and SuperCalculators on the real world. The Forest Replika has an Activated Tower, Meaning Xana has launched an Attack. Activating a tower themselves, the use the power of the green tower to Energise on Earth....

Except Ulrich and Yumi. Odd And Aelita are in a Jungle during the Day. Jeremy confirms that they are in Brazil. The Amazon Rainforest Specifically.

Which makes Aelita do ballet in the translucenct skirt for some reason.

Now, you may be wondering why Franz Hopper has other supercomputers worldwide. As the Season 2 closing credits show, Franz was part of a team of Scientists who were likely Multi-National to begin with. And after Lyoko "Failed" when Franz and family disappeared, The Terrorist cell most likely used the Supercalculator to power whatever new scheme the Doctor is now creating!

Jeremy tells the Away team, that they have 13 minutes to find the Super-Computer, before they are forced back to Lyoko. Yumi and Ulrich Bicker like it's Season 2 and are Distracted by William riding on a tarantula...LIKE A BADASS!

In Brazil, Aelita and Odd Uncover Xana's Plan: he has possessed the staff here to create an army of Cyborg Spiders. Ulrich's postering gets him stabbed. Yumi Loses her Fans and has to fight William hand to Hand....er Hand to BIG FECKING SWORD! Just when they are about to destroy the Supercalculator. William after offing Yumi, enters the Green Tower, enters Code: XANA and forces the away team back to Lyoko. The first Mission has failed, But not without Intel. and so the episode ends with Odd getting his packages mixed up. Odd with the Necklace for Yumi and Yumi having a squeaky bone for Kiwi.

Bragging Rights Sees the return to Brazil to destroy the lab. This time, Yumi and Ulrich are the away team, Surrounded by Spiders. The story is told in flashback. Odd's bragging and hot-dogging gets him detention . When Ulrich tells Odd to save it for mission. Odd gets indignant and makes a bet: If he can go a week without Bragging, He get's Ulrich Desserts for a week. Conversely if he loses! 

With the schematics and the destroyed forcefield last episode, it should be easy, except neither has the Hacking powers of Creativity like Aelita has. And when Ulrich smashes a panel to open the door like in the movies. the team are told they are to sever the powerline instead. On the Forest Replika, William and the ever Annoying Hornets attack. Back in the Amazon, the Cyber Spiders have escaped. Ulrich slashes the generator with his Katana and the Replika Starts to Disappear, causing william to plunge into Digial Water...Until A backup Generator comes online, reforming the replika and respawning William.

The Spiders Capture the Away Team and Kill them with their fangs...But Death while Energized means you are returned to Lyoko, just as the same as death on Lyoko returns you to Reality! Odd asks Jeremy to be sent in the other's stead, Since Aelita is now destroyed too. But promises not to brag, the Skid is fired upon with Ulrich and Yumi Unconscious inside. Odd on his own singlehandley fights of the Spiders and Destroys the Generator with his last Last arrow! The Replika is destroyed and so are the spiders. And so Odd loses the Bet when he says he set the time for the shortest shower in School History. When Ulrich points out, that's nothing to be proud of. Odd concedes saying That He's A braggard and that's OK!

CODE LYOKO: RETURN TO THE PAST NOW! EPISODE 74-75: PUSHING LIMITS

 "I Rather Not Talk About It", the 74th episode, Is off Course A Jim Centred Episode. Jeremy, Concerned about the fighting fitness of his team, Convinces Jim to train them on his day off in a Boot Camp.

One may ask What 5 teenagers, (3 With no Martial Arts Training) Can possibly Learn from a Former (Possibly Discharged) Drill Sargent turned High school Groundskeeper (Keep that in mind, as Jim's lives on campus!), 

But keep in mind we now live In a world where there is a video game where eating giant burgers and running a treadmill with a cat is all the training you need to shoot God in the face!

The 5 are Subjected to Boot Camp Level Exercise, and Drill Sargent Nasties, most of them Directed towards Jeremy. Heroes take a Break and Yumi asks Jim about his past. Jim recants the stories that he can talk about. such as his times as a lifeguard, a scuba driver and Bodyguard for the President. Though Jeremy Thinks Jim is a liar and sees Jim in his head as a Lifeguard at a Kiddie Pool, A pool Cleaner and a Custodian at the Secret Service. In the Forest Zone, Xana Activates a Tower. The Heroes are attacked by a wild boar. Jim proves to be the real deal fighting the animal, But when Xana possesses it, it's a different story. XANA/WILDBOAR charges Jeremy, But Jim is Laid Out and Knocked Silly. Ulrich causes a Distraction for the Boar as Aelita, Yumi and Odd head to the factory, Jeremy Staying Behind to tend to Jim, whose leg is Broken.

Because Jeremy and Franz rebuilt Lyoko from scratch, it would stand to reason A new Source Sphere was Made...What makes NO SENSE is having it in the EXACT same Place it was for Xana to attack it and possibly destroy it!

On Real World, Jeremy has used Some plants to camouflage the cave he found as shelter, as well as created a rudimentary splint for Jim's leg. However Jim points out via smell the fronds are Peppermint and Boars hunt by smell, Jeremy needs to Disguise there scents somehow!

Yumi and Odd engage William in Carthage, while Ulrich and Aelita head to the forest sector. The Solution to the scent problem is also the Problem itself: they rub the peppermint on themselves. It now dark so hopefully the boar has terrible eyesight!

On the Forest Zone, Xana has manipulated the terrain again to make the Tower invisible. The Boar chases Jeremie to the boot camps obstacle course. With Odd Defeated, Yumi Attacks and Destroys William. Aelita Deactivates the tower as Jim rescues Jeremy and so the episode ends With Jim on A Crutch, But Jeremy didn't use a Return Trip to erase Jim's Memories. Jeremy and Jim now respect each other and they will need his training in the future!

Hot Shower (Celestial Body in French!) Sees a Comet making it's path to Earth. While the Skid is in the Digital sea searching for William or Franz using it's new Sonar, Yumi's 9th Grade class (THIS IS A CONTINUITY ERROR, SHE'S IN 10TH!) is stuck with Hiroki and Johnny's 5th grade in a diorama contest about the Solar System, Johnny asks to be teamed with Yumi, much to her embarrassment!

In the Factory, Jeremy is watching Exposistion News,(Exposistion News! Plot Details on the hour, every hour!) Tell us that if the comet passing earth today would hit Earth it would cause an Extinction Event, however We finally have an explanation to why there is a Satellite with a DEATH LASER IN SPACE in episode 9: it's for blasting Meteorite!

As you May except. XANA rehacks the Death Laser to aim at the comet, changing it's Trajectory to France, with it's point of impact being the factory, Jeremy plans to Majora's Mask the situation, ie: use the return to the past as many times until the problem is solved.

The skid is stuck in a firewall, meaning heroes can't return to Lyoko, The government has covered up the comet's landing so well, that no-one believes her! Even Jim says something racist! ("I told you Eating Raw Fish is not good for your Brain!" ACTUAL FUCKING QUOTE!) It's only when the meteorites are visible is when action is taken. Aelita Breaks the Firewall with the Computer Science skill of running at it really hard! Jeremy casually Hacks a NATO Satellite as KADIC academy is evacuated, under the guise of a Fire Drill. Jeremy Phones Yumi for her to retrieve his laptop, As Authorization requires two remote sources to for control over the Death laser, of course 2 episodes go by and once again, side characters follow one of the Warriors, this time Hiroki and Johnny.

The Skid Accelerates thorugh Broadband to the Desert Zone, Yumi is told to Connect the laptop to the satellite dish on the roof of the school! But  the door is locked. Turns out Hiroki and Johnny are expert Lock-pickers..... somehow, and Yumi gets to the roof, Jeremy gets through but XANA is pushing them back. XANA's one trick mind in destroying earth so Aelita can't escape Costs It, as Aelita is no targeted for attacks. When she Realises this the others Devirtualizes her. causing Xana's forces to retreat and XANA to Destroy the Meteor Itself, Now XANA does not have the satisfaction of killing Aelita! A return to the past erases the boys involvement in todays adventure, Though Yumi realsies that having a lock on her bedroom is now useless!

CODE LYOKO, RETURN TO THE PAST NOW!: EPISODES 72-73: WHY MUST I BE A SIDE CHARACTER IN LOVE?

 After wasting 5 minutes of the show with Odd Collecting Girlfriends, we truly open to Jeremy Giving the others a Briefing. He comes out with it: He and Aelita are too dangerous for Xana to be kept alive! And they have being the targets of Xana's direct attacks. If the worse should come to the worse, Jeremy wants to make sure that the others can use the Super-Calculator at his level.

Given that Yumi ballsed up the easiest mission possible, Ulrich used the Return program to cheat the lottery, and Odd...Well at least he has his health!

I think Einstein has his work cut out for him! Also Off-Screen It seems Xana attacked Yumi and Ulrich at the swimming pool and by the way they are blushing, Wardrobe Malfunctions happened!

Y'KNOW! FOR KIDS!

While THE 3 have to cancel their plans, Aelita continues to Audition for the Subdigitals in her Arc. While it's a missed Opportunity for the others to accuse Jeremy of favoritism, Aelita has a 1 in 3 chance to succeed. Meanwhile the others don't understand a thing, And Odd is barley virtualized by Ulrich to the ice zone! Xana Launches an Attack, activating a tower on the Mountain Zone! Xana Teleports a Spectre in the form of a Man in Black to Dispatch Ulrich and Electrocute Jeremy, off screen! Jeremy lives but is unconscious, But before he was lost, he told them where the tower is!

With Ulrich in Jeremy's shoes, Odd in a different zone and Yumi running off on a hunch Aelita is in danger, the stakes cannot be higher! Aelita gets the text message and runs for her safety, right into the Spectre, but Yumi is there to rescue her. Ulrich accidentally teleports The overbike instead of the overboard! Button Mashing, Ulrich uncovers a countdown. Aelita explains that it's Jeremy's Delayed Virtualization Program (The One he used to met Aelita in First Contact). Ulrich into position to be virtualized.

Aelita Arrives to Guide Odd, Before He, Ulrich and Aelita convene on the Mountain Zone, The Spectre Returns to Beat Up Yumi, And William is here with some Krabbes, Ulrich Stabs Odd's Avatar to save Yumi in the real World. The Spectre is Dispersed by the Electrical Charge from the Loose wires, But Odd Virtualizes Yumi despite The Spectre reforming and when it does, Odd will be alone!

Yumi sacrifices herself to save for Ulrich to fell William and Aelita deactivates the tower and the spectre destroyed. Jeremy commends the others for working the supercalculator and Aelita gets the DJ Job and so episode 72 ends with Odd Implying like Yumi and Ulrich, Aelita and Jeremy had a similar Wardrobe Malfunction in the Gym when Xana attacked them off-screen!

Episode 73-Replika, in the Digital Sea, the Warriors found a Mass that Jeremy Surmised to be a New Base of Operations For Xana, a Replica of Lyoko.

A chain of Lies and Midadventures causes Odd and Aelita to be sent to Detention and for Sissi's Goons Nicolas and Herve to see the rest go to the Factory, because i suppose even Sissi's Lackies need an endgame, they were given new costumes too, i suppose!

Being Given Detention ( Odd for skipping Class, and Aelita for lying about it!) Aelita takes up Nicolas' offer of a date, Rather that spend anymore time with Odd! When Aelita breaks it off (Seriously, in the next scene Jeremie is there to remind Aelita and us, that they are Dating!) Nicky-Boy then asks Herve if he wants to have the same "Fantastic Experience in the Moonlight!)

No it's not Cartoon Network being WOKE 15 Years before Steven Universe! (FAT LOT OF GOOD IT DID IN THE UK!), Turns out Nicolas wanted a spotter for Night-fishing under the bridge that connects the factory. Where France's answer to Beavis and Butthead spies our heroes heading to the factory to explore the Digital Sea!

The Bumbling Goofs Explore the factory, the only way Comedy Henchmen know how! The Skid moors itself in the Replika of the Forest Zone, and only the Forest Zone. Jeremey Surmises that the Digital Sea, which is the entirety of the internet must contain more of these Replikas!

Ulrich and Yumi have had enough of the others and made Odd and Aelita guard the skid while they do recon! But they are outmatched by the attacking Megatanks, Jeremy redirects power from the Supercalculator to the Skid's Shields. Deactivating the Return to the past. Thankfully Jeremy sees no reason to use that to cover there tracks tonight.

THEN NICOLAS AND HERVE TURN UP!

William also joins the party, while Jeremy leaves the Control to Outsmart Nicolas and Herve (AN EASY TASK!), Yumi and Ulrich return but not before Odd is sent back. 

Odd has a plan to get rid of the two Dipsticks but it requires Aelita and Jeremy to "Keep an Open mind!"

The next morning, Jeremy slightly peeved, tells the others that Replikas must be powered by other Supercalclators all over the world.... Which makes sense! Keep in mind in the season 2 and beyond end credits, Franz headed a Team of Scientists and as we find out from the other missions, All of them where Naughty Boys! Jeremy wants to Deactivate the SuperCalculators via travel by the Replikas and teleport into the real world to that local, but the risk is deadly, He is now working on a way to Virtualise the Powers into the real World!

But that is a Problem for next time, as of right now, Sissi doesn't believe what her goons saw, after all it's common knowledge that Aelita is Odd's "Cousin"

CODE LYOKO: RETURN TO THE PAST NOW!: EPISODES 70-71: THE SKIDBLANIR ARC

 As stated in Opening Act, Jeremy and Aelita were working on Programming what Jeremy referred to a "ship". We open on the Two with Odd throwing a tennis ball around sensitive machinery like the idiot he is! He does tell the audience that the ship is a submarine and we Cut to Ulrich and Yumi cuddling in their sleep, though waking causes them to be embarrassed, Possibly due to them only seeing each other because of the guilt of keeping William a secret, rather than it being a real relationship.

As the Heroes Return to Kadic in the Dead of Night, Jeremy tells them that the Sub's Power core must be installed at 4pm Sharp. If not The Core will React like a Black Hole and Destroy everything Virtual: I Don't know why they just don't use it to kill Xana for sure with it, But If we take Aelita's Black Hole Analogy at Face Value, It will mean the Internet as Whole will be Destroyed.

Though Jeremy Interjects stating only ALL HIS programs will be erased, letting Xana Run roughshod as it will take Jeremy Months to re-write programs from Scratch.

However, a known student couple, caught working in their Pajamas in Jeremy's room by the Caretaker Jim, is seen as a serious offence of the Boarding Arrangements by Monsieur Delmas who gives the Genius Couple Detention with Jim in Charge!

The others Ask how they will continue today's plan, Aelita shockingly just says they plan to run away from Jim, After all, IT'S JUST JIM!...Jim However in a show of Competence and maybe the Deja Vu is back, tails Jeremy and Aelita til 4 o'clock, With Odd trying to rescue the 2 with Silly plans like Pretending Jim has won the lottery and Wind up Mice, and to make Matter Worse, William has Commanded a Battalion of Kreepers to Sabotage the Submarine!

Using Morse Code with his watch, (After His phone is confiscated and the others, Via Human Ladder try to aid his escape!) Yumi tells them about the attack, at the Factory the boys Virtualize to Carthage with Yumi has Mission Control, with Jeremy sending co-ordinates remotely as Aelita distracts Jim!

IF THEY MADE THIS THING INTO A TOY, THEN CODE LYOKO WOULD NEVER HAVE BEING PUSHED TO CN'S WEBSITE, YES SADLY WE ARE AT THE STAGE WHEN CARTOON NETWORK UK DID TO CODE LYOKO WHAT THEY DID TO STEPHEN UNIVERSE, AND NEITHER SHOW WILL EVER HAVE THEIR FINAL EPISODE TELEVISED!

We See the Submarine and it's Massive, it looks like a Turtle mixed with Squid tentacles, than a commonplace Submarine! Delmas arrives and confiscates the laptop off Jeremy and leaves Yumi Hanging. Ulrich fights William. Odd fights an increasing number of monsters, Yumi trying handle everything and Jeremy haggling with Jim for his computer back, All uphill Battles. That's when Yumi thinks outside the box and calls unlikely help, Her Brother Hiroki and his Creepy Friend Johnny to Unleash Odd's Dog Kiwi to distract Jim, and it works! The Genius Couple are Inbound

Jeremy takes his place, as the Girls are virtualised, just as Odd is Destroyed, Ulrich is destroyed by his own sword when William Disarms him. The Sub's Shields are Depleted and we only have 5 minutes left. In a shock to me, It's Aelita who defeats William, With him gone the Monster retreat without a leader and Jeremy installs the Engine Core.

In the Hermitage, The heroes try to Think of a name, It's when Aelita finds a Book belonging to her Father, a book on Norse Legends. She was told a story of a longship that could even travel on land and always reached it's destination.

The Ship's name was....

Skidbladnir!

Episode 71 is Maiden Voyage, We finally see new Civilian Clothes for our heroes and side characters though at first glance at Jeremy, It's seemed like a Pallet swap, I'll get into the changes when I Finish the season and the series!

We open Properly with a Gym Class on Rock Climbing where Jim says something Surprisingly Profound!

"Only by Challenging Yourselves, You can move Mountains, and then Climb them!"

Jeremy is called First and falls in front of the class. Despite Aelita's attempts of Comforting him, Jeremy fells inadequate about his body, to the point he doesn't hear the full Announcement by Mr. Delmas about today's Fire Safety Day, which classes have being cancelled for!

During the Maiden Voyage from Carthage, the Navigation System Bugs up Leaving them all Literally dead in the water, Without a Guiding System, the shields will run out of power and Everything will Dissolve, But Jeremy has a back-up system in his room....except he learns from Jim that the announcement he didn't listen to was that Dorms are out of Bounds and Guarded for a realistic Fire Drill!. Jeremy felt inadequate about his Body is now forced to LE PARKOUR! over the school Roof!

In the Digital Sea, Something's Immense Gravity is drawing the Skid closer, When Aelita realizes, it's not Lyoko, she pulls away and straight into a pair of new Monsters, Laser Shooting Eels later Christened Kongres!  

Jeremy finds his CD-ROM and Returns to the lab, but he needs time. Thankfully the Tentacles can Detach into 3 X-Fighter like pods called Skid-Navis to Attack the Eels. Jeremy Remote Fixes the Navigation and the Pods reattach to the Skidbladnir as it Returns to Carthage.

On Solid Ground, Jeremy explains that the Gravitational Force was a Replika of Lyoko and possibly XANA'S New Base of Operations and they will explore it...Just not today!

CODE LYOKO: RETURN TO THE PAST, NOW: EPISODES 68 AND 69-GET YER MINDS OUT OF THE GUTTER!

 Opening Act (Ironic it is the first episode today) is a filler episode, But it's an Important Filler Episode!

It's Lunchtime and the Boarding school Canteen is abuzz of big news: Chris, the drummer of the Band Subdigitals, is Visiting Kadic, Turns out He has an Uncle on the Faculty, which is revealed to be Jim.

Chris Arrives to Screaming Fans and Huge Acclaim to the school. The Drummer is holding auditions for Talented Children to open their concert as a DJ. Delmas cancels Lessons as everyone in school Auditions, and Aelita would like to, but Jeremy reminds her that recreating the Forest sector and programming "THE SHIP" is too important, leading Aelita to be crestfallen and distracted!

With everyone Not up to snuff, and Odd blowing his chance, Chris leaves the auditorium for a break. Chris Hears Music from the Auditorium (Played by a late-running Aelita, who then leaves the room crying!) Chris returns to the once again, empty room, only to be attacked by XANA!

Milly and Tamiya walk by the Heroes, Sans Jeremy, who tells them Chris is looking for the "Cinderella Dj" as they put it! Aelita runs towards the Staff room where Chris is standing to hand him her Demo....except it's not Chris....it's a spectre, who shocks Aelita, making her drop her Demo and Brazenly Carries her Past Milly and Tamiya to the factory.

Finding Aelita's Demo. Odd confronts Chris in an attempt to look in his eyes for the telltale Mark of xana. If it's not possession it's must be a spectre. Chris and Jim involve themselves after Odd says too much,Ultimately fighting the spectre and buying enough time to save Aelita in the new Forest sector, we also get new Animations for the transfer sequence-revealing the new Civilian costumes and returning to the clothes they usually were up to this point. WHOOPS!

One return to the past to wipe Jim and Chris' memory and Jeremy had delivered Aelita's Demo to Chris, Winning the competition to be the opening act and starting Aelita's Endgame Arc: A life after XANA!

Wreck Room is also a filler, But it's not as important, Fake William is somehow elected to be Curator of the school's new Rec Room, But he's too Stupid and Naive to perform anything properly, Meaning Odd, Yumi and Ulrich are left behind to Cover, while the Genius Couple Try and track down William via the Digitized DNA sequence of Fake William

Of Course, Somthing Goes Wrong and Fake William, Being a Spectre, Reverts to something akin of the real William, An Over-competitive Jackass, who trounces Jim in Ping-pong over and over, at least it keeps him distracted from killing everyone! Forcing Aelita into the Dessert, Unfortunately, Aelita's ability to Enter Towers is also Bugged!

The Tower is Took over and XANA/FAKE WILLIAM Attacks Yumi. When Aelita See's William Slaying Krabbes, She's convinced Xana can't control 2 Williams at Once and the Real William is Free from XANA's Control!

(SIGH....HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEING DOING THIS NOW, AELITA ? 1994?)

With Ulrich Stuck with Sissi when the others spilt up, only Odd and Yumi make it too the Factory. Fake William chases Sissi and Ulrich to the roof of the school ending with them fighting to hang on! William Slaughtering Odd and Yumi's avatars, Jeremy Fixes The Bug and Aelita deactivates the tower causing a return to the past just as Ulrich and Sissi fall from the roof. And So they Make Sissi the Curator in the new timeline, It Doesn't seem like much but making the Selfish Brat care for people will set up her Endgame for season 4.

The Beginning of the End!

PREVIOUSLY ON CODE LYOKO...

After mission after Mission that forced Jeremie to Reset Time, thus making XANA stronger, The Warriors elected to Add William to their ranks despite his obsession with fellow Warrior Yumi.

In A mixture of Badly timed annoyances and Overconfidence, XANA Possessed William, who one shots Aelita and does the same to the Lyoko Code Data, Erasing The Virtual World forever. Deep in the Digitial Sea (The Pure Unformed Code of the internet.) Xana has Molded William into his image. Despite Seemingly losing all their sources, Jeremie gets a message from an unlikely Ally: Franz Hopper, Aelita's Father and the Creator of Both Lyoko and Xana, who was assumed Dead!

So We start With Episode 66-William Returns

So we get new Opening Credits for the last season with all the changes I will get to when they happen, and as we get to the title screen, the stark reminder of no Map, Lyoko is gone forever.

To cover William's disappearance, Jeremie uses the Voice Distortion Device to trick Principal Delmas into thinking William has returned to Canada. Though if William's family should turn up it will be a different story, However Aelita is confident that Franz's Algorithm will do it's job, recreating a Partial Lyoko!

Since the last Episode, the Effects of how each warrior acted towards their respected annoyances is now canon, for Jeremy (Who's name is now being spelt as the common spelling!) Jumping out the window and legging it have left them unfriended by Millie and Tamiya, but the Junior Reporters are not just mad at Jeremy...But at all his class, since Sissi used her position as Principal's Daughter to become Editor of the ailing Kadic Herald.

That Night at the Factory, despite Reservations of Trusting Franz again.The Partial Lyoko is created, Namely the Artificial Sun and Sector 5-Carthage-Inside it! When the Team return home, and with Xana's home turf re-existing, that night a transporter pod opens and a familiar face walks out!

Jim finds Odd the next morning and hands him a newspaper, Jim's past as an actor in a musical film as being found out and the groundskeeper blames Odd, who found out about it in Season 3. Odd tells Sissi Blackmail is Bad, M'kay!...Only because Odd was going to use the film to blackmail Jim in the first place but got talked down by his friends! When Sissi asks about William's disappearance, the cover story is used...Until William himself turns up!

Taken to one Side, William claims he doesn't remember anything after being possessed by XANA. Jeremy's scan reveals William is not possessed, nor has Xana have control over the only tower on Sector 5. With that being said he finds it impossible that someone would be able to survive the Digital sea without outside help or being recoded by his DNA.

Saving Aelita from being hounded by Sissi, William Reveals he is not possessed by Xana, but a willing  Agent, who can turn on the power when he pleases! and Aelita is Kidnapped. Odd is punished by Jim to recreate every scene of Paco the King of Disco in Jim's old costume, as he film's it!

With a Crash and a thud, William and an Unconscious Aelita is Virtualized on Lyoko as William Levitates Her Prone Body out the Central Room. Ulrich is virtualized First as Jeremy reveals since he recreated Carthage, the Sector no longer changes it's appearance every time anyone enters it! But not the Monsters, they are still there!

In conjunction with having being giving Yumi's Telekinetic powers, Xana has also gifted William with Supersmoke, An Upgrade of Ulrich's Super Sprint, Turns William into a Fast Moving Shadow, Faster anything than his former love rival can put out! Yumi arrives at the factory as Odd's Humiliation continues! Jim Learns a lesson about meme Culture, Even silly and terrible things can be loved, As he is swarmed by fans. Odd Uses the distraction to escape.

Aelita is Carried to By William, Just as Yumi is Virtualised. Odd finally makes it, As William and his victim mount a Manta to escape Carthage, But with no other sectors,Jeremy realizes Xana plans to Drown Aelita in the Digital Sea and Destroy her forever!

OH NO(!)

It's not like she survived that already or Touching Virtual Water can be Nerfed for Plotline Convenience! Ulrich is taken out just as Odd arrives.

And the Digital Sea Below as Aelita come to, Yumi is thrown by William and Odd uses his arrows before Yumi gets Erased by the Digital Sea (AGAIN!)

Odd saves Aelita, Just as William returns to the Digital Sea,Back to Xana. And So the Episode Ends with Jim Forgiving Odd and embracing his past as He Performs as Paco, King of Disco in School Assembly.

Episode 67 Double Take-With All the Sleepless Nights, Recreating Lyoko Upgrading The Avatars, Studying and Covering for William's Absence, Jeremy has done something drastic to pass his requirement of Gym and use to the free time to continue doing all this: Create a Spectre to pose as him in Gym class, But only because Jim has threatened that William be physically seen before Curfew, Scuppering Jeremy's planned unveiling of the new Equipment.

Fake Jeremy is more athletic, and talks like a Jive-turkey, who chats up Yumi in front of Aelita and beats up Odd when he Suspects Xana!

Getting a call from the Real Jeremy, he confirms the fake is a spectre powered by an activated tower in the newly created Desert Zone, Which is invaded by William, who reveals another stolen power Gifted by XANA-An Upgraded CODE: XANA that doesn't need to be installed inside a tower, just near one! Turning Fake Jeremy into XANA/FAKE JEREMY, Though it's actually a struggle for Control Between the two!

A fight between A briefly Controlled fake Jeremy and Odd in Gym class is the excuse to make sure Fake Jeremy is secured in a broom closet, When William gains full control the fight gains the attention of Pricipal Delmas, who XANA/FAKE JEREMY blasts with energy. While Aelita, Ulrich and Yumi head to the Factory and gain new Avatars

SIGH....

I HATE THE SEASON 4 AVATARS!

I don't like that these costumes now make the 13-16 YEAR OLDS Pass as adults! All the Uniqueness and cultural nods are now replaced by generic boiler suits! Ulrich's Pants now have a giant Ball Window that is awkwardly big for pants for a boy his age! Odd's upper chest and arms are armoured, which makes no sense for a ranged fighter to have. The Worst offender is Yumi's costume, No longer a Geisha, Yumi is just a Generic Ninja, In a time where Avatar, Power Rangers Ninja Storm and Naruto existed all at the same time. It would help if she gains new powers like the others but Nope! Also Aelita must have given Jeremy one hell of a side-eye for her boyfriend to give her an armoured Bustier, a Transulent Skirt and Hot Pink Kinky Boots!

The New Suit have New Weapons and Gear, Ulrich has 2 swords now, and Since Fall from Great heights has being Aelita's schtick, she now has a star shaped bracelet that give her Pink Angel Wings!

After William Shows us how percptive he is, Killing the Real Ulrich after using Triplicate, Aelita deactivates the tower. Yumi is cornered by William who tussles with her hair, like he's fighting the brainwashing, only to push her into the sea below. That's when Odd debuts his costume officially! and only good thing about this costume is after this episode i never have to see the pissing dog on his chest ever again!

After a Return to the past to cover up the Attack on Delmas Jeremy finds a new use for the Spectre: Having it pose as William til they can get the real one back! The Copy looks and sounds like him but is naive and doesn't understand figures of speech!

But this marks the End of Innocence of our Adventure, This no longer a Secret Game, or a virtual fairytale where the princess now lives on Earth! The Heroes are covering up a grievous mistake: a friend has become a terrorist, and in this final Season, the fight against XANA bleeds into this world as the new avatars will grant them powers in reality, making teenagers pass off as adults fighting Professional Soldiers. Friendships will be tested, Overconfidence will broken, and could the love of 2 genius stand up to what will happen?

CODE LYOKO: RETURN TO THE PAST NOW: EPISODE 65-FINAL ROUND

Brace yourself, the entire world is about to change!

It's Evening after the events of Double Trouble, and Jeremie has scanned William in to the Supercomputer to make him immune to the returns to the past! William is eager to fight XANA, Maybe, a little too eager. Odd says that after he wins the school's skateboarding contest tomorrow, he will be there to deal damage, no matter how late he'll be.

Unfortunately, the next day every Lyoko Warrior except Aelita has some kind of obstruction caused by the b-characters. The Junior Reporters tail Jeremie all day, Ulrich's father has come to discipline his son, Yumi must babysit Hiroki and Sam Purposefully doesn't pass on Ulrich's message of an attack to Odd, all so she can spend time with her Boyfriend!

This leaves Aelita and William to go to Carthage alone, thankfully the direct travel program is a success. So It's a complete Untested Novice and The weakest fighter of the Group. Only good can come from this. Jeremie has arrived first so assumes mission control. We see William's Lyoko form and....MEH!

It's just a Jumpsuit, with no personality or hidden double meaning, granted the black line that does down to the waist and juts at 2 right angles before going down again, resembles a Karate Gi, but unlike the other's powers coming from their real-life skills we have never seen or has it been mentioned that William does Karate! And if he did, then it completely jars with the fact he is armed with a buster sword, though that will come later when I break down his character in season 4.

Each of our heroes ditch their respective annoyances, As William just cuts through Kreepers. The Sypcozoa attacks and despite Jeremie and Aelita's warnings about The near indestructible Jellyfish, it's all for nothing, William attacks it and it possesses the new hero, Who One Shots Aelita with his blade.

In the Heart of Carthage, 20 Kreepers and William blast the Core Data of Lyoko. As this happens Jeremie is running a program to Realize Franz Hopper. One by One, William kills his former friends and then stabs through the Code Sphere, Destroying Carthage and All in it, including himself.

So it has Happened. XANA has won again! Only this time the heroes can no longer bring the fight to him, what was worse is that no only is one of there own lost forever, But the very People they save on a day to day basis cost them a victory.

It Looks Bleak...But then Jeremie's computer get a message alert. Franz may not be here, but his consciousness is on the internet...and he can help!

With Just 13 Episodes Season 3 has the least episodes of the 4 seasons, So the pacing of the Destruction Of Lyoko Arc seems rushed. However that means we have less filler to deal with. And the end result is another loss but on that stings more, they have lost one of their own to the enemy.

As for Character Development,

Jim has the most Development of the minor characters, even if it's allusions to past careers he rather not talk about, usually jobs that where military and he was sworn to secrecy, or jobs that were embarrassing like the musical that Odd was blackmailing him over! Also in a season where Yumi reject both Her suitors, I'm shocked Sissi has not being featured as much

With the least Development is Ulrich, who reaction to Yumi's announcement fills him with so much spite, he thinks leading on a freshman admirer is a good idea. And while Ulrich is doing bad at school, thanks to XANA, When his father calls his son's friends "Punks", he defends them. showing that he can still be the earnest boy he was in season 1

Odd is still the fun-loving, idiotic Stomach-on-legs with Plot Convenient Powers. Only Now Sam is interested in Odd, making the Playground Playboy a one woman man, But Odd has no real arc as he is still the comic relief character.

Despite being the chew toy for XANA Since Season 2, Yumi is more prominent in the Story this Season, She want only to be friends with Ulrich and William, since she knows how important the Mission is, and that dating one will hurt the other. She has final say over recruiting William, which given his declarations of love was now edging into stalking her, she was reluctant to do.

As the Only Couple in The Warriors, Jeremie and Aelita's development are entwined together. Jeremie has a Out-Of-Character Moment when he hurt Aelita's Feelings over her insistence that here father was still alive. While Aelita's Intuition was correct, Jeremie forgot that Aelita has being regaining her humanity by day, so her wanting to mourn her father, Evil as he was, he didn't Understand. Aelita this season gains Combative powers, Energy Blasts, as she is still unarmed. Becuase of Xana's plan to destroy Lyoko requires control over Aelita, Jeremie every loss and Every forced Return to the past personally. In the End, XANA becoming Jeremie's clone is what Cost the Team Lyoko and William.

So Of Course William the Green Ranger to the rest of the warriors get the mosr development, we learn Willaim is Canadian, and his families business is construction! But his reasons for helping and being recruited to the Warriors is strictly Yumi, and because of this, his Grandstanding and Confidence was his own Downfall as he Spends his time between Season 3 and 4 to become XANA'S Champion!

Despite Still knowing enough knowledge of Human Culture to take out more than Odd, Xana is now smart enough to disguise himself as a human, his speech as a clone is less stinted and more emotional than it was in Ghost Channel. His plans are more likely to succeed since he now puts the heroes in unwinnable situations that would either kill or threaten their secrecy, forcing Jeremie to launch a return to the past, to make XANA Stronger!

So That is season 3 done!
Season 4 Starts in January. I know, that seems far away for some, but the time for the rest of the years reviews are so tight, I can't fit anymore!

CODE LYOKO: RETURN TO THE PAST, NOW! NINTENDODD SIXTY! FOUUUUURRRRR!!1!! (BUT FIRST 63!)

It's the penultimate episode before Next Mondays review of the season 3 finale, So let's soften the blow with Filler?

Episode 63, Triple Trouble, Shows Odd having a bad day at the office. His Arrows keep Missing, and it's making Odd Angry he doesn't have Cool Powers!
AHEM! I PRESENT AGAIN EVIDENCE A-Odd swimming in Digital water that kills everyone else!
 

So Odd Sulks all day about the fact Jeremie removed his Future Flash Ability to  Sometimes see five minutes into the Future to program the more Pragmatic Shield. So Jeremie Devises a New program for new powers and needs a guinea pi...WE'VE DONE THIS BEFORE! I FEEL LIKE WE DONE THIS BEFORE...YOU KNOW LIKE....LAST EPISODE! And just like that the powers fail and the power to teleport makes 2 more clones of Odd!

So the Plan Back on Reality is to keep 2 Odds in the factory and or dorms hits a snag when all 3 walking stomachs get hungry. Leaving one not getting any lunch this leads to an argument and 2 clones running off, one clone remaining to be caught by Jim after all 3 try and skip class.

During Class, XANA Attacks by becoming a smoke that Petrifies Human Flesh!

This Includes the Odd caught by Jim, Jeramie Tells the others That if all 3 odds are not virtualized on Lyoko to reunite, their dna will become unstable and they will die!

After a Mexican standoff on narrow Bridge, Xana attacks the factory to petrify Jeremie, However Odd is back in rare form and demolishes the Megatanks, allowing Aeltia to deactivate the red tower before Jeremie is harmed, who launches a return to the past to save Jim and the others.

Episode 64 Double Trouble Sets Up Next weeks Finale, Being Run Ragged by XANA all term has not done favours for the team, Ulrich needs to pass Physics and Yumi must attend classes or fave expulsion. It's not done Jeremie good either, as working all night has messed with his sleep, so when he falls asleep at his station, the last person he expected to see first is....Himself?

We Cut to Jeremie Trying to get the team to the factory, but they all need to attend classes....We see the REAL! Jeremie Emerging from the riverbank after XANA/JEREMIE tried to drown him. Odd trying to copy Jeremie's answers gives XANA opportunity to take out Odd. So when Jeremie warns odd from the Factory, it's too late. Odd is knocked out with lightning!

Meanwhile In Yumi's Photography Class, William much like Jim in Season one, is experiencing Deja Vu, except his is coming out in his dreams. Yumi gets a call and William Covers up her escape.

Not knowing they are heading into a trap, When XANA/JEREMIE regains Control after blindsiding Jeremie, Odd and Yumi's avatars are bugged with glitches, Despite the fight in the real world as soon as Ulrich finishes his test, It doesn't matter. The distraction, the bugs and Aelita being giving the Code XANA Virus by the Sycphozoa, thus destroying the Mountain zone the 4th and final zone, Means XANA has won.

That is if the Supercalulator Didn't just finish computating a Direct Teleport Program to Carthage

But the Program cannot be tested. This is the Lyoko Warriors one and only shot. And with that Yumi decides to agree with the others and let William Join their ranks!

So Next week we end July, and season 3 with THE FINALE, EPISODE 65, FINAL ROUND!
And once this is over, nothing will ever be the same!
