Welcome 2 Season 2 of my retrospective of the Cult French Cartoon, Code Lyoko.
To recap, Jeremie, a genius living at a boarding school, goes into an abandoned factory for machine parts, where he uncovers a machine that will change his life forever!
This Machine is a Super-Calculator, the powersource to a virtual world called Lyoko. Inside this world servers, referred to as Towers, An A.I. Called Aelita springs to life. it also brings to live X.A.N.A., Basically a human-hating Terrorist! Xana can subvert programs and machines, but need to activate a tower on lyoko to do so. That is where Aelita comes in she is an anti-virus that can deactivate Xana's Red Towers. Aelita can't fight though, it is a good thing that Jeremie's room-mates and a complete random girl stuck there noses in, and got virtualized on Lyoko. Several Adventures and Jeremie finally did what he set out to do! Realize Aelita into a Real Girl. It can only be better from hereout!
Episode 26-False Start...

OHHH....
....begins with Aelita's first day at Kadic, Naturally the former Program is nervous. and learning History for the 1st time and saying this earns her an awkward silence!
Heading to The Factory, where Jim is staying, Long Story short, Jim had being feeling deja vu from all of the time skips Jeremie performs to cover up/prevent the events of the xana attacks. So he had being suspicious of our heroes, to the point he chased Jeremie so hard he broke his ankle and got Fired. Jim (who he insists to be called Jimbo) has no place to stay so he is now guarding the factory. All those present to the Arrival Gather in the Power Room on Friday. Aelita has being getting edgy about Jeremie Turning off the SuperCalculator for good, and when he does, Aelita Faints!
It takes hours for Aelita to recover, just as soon as Lyoko reboots. Jeremie Puts Aelita in a scanner and finds something terrible!
Remember Aelita was downloaded from a tower that was being destroyed by a laser from Xana's monsters? well this laser inadvertingly downloaded a base code virus into Aelita. in short, cannot fully leave Lyoko and if Lyoko is destroyed, she dies! It's nightfall when Aelita comes to so Jeremie offers to take her to Yumi's where she has being staying! This leads to what he have being waiting for, and we are so happy season 2 did it in it's first episode: Aelita and Jeremie, on a date!
The next day, Xana in a sense of Irony, uses the scanners to realize the Kankerlauts into the 2D real World!
Aelita and Odd go to Lyoko, despite Jeremie's protests! Aelita points out Xana could easily send monsters bigger and more dangerous than the comic relief villains. On Earth Yumi Ulrich and Jim go all Shaun of the Dead on the kankerlauts with Jim armed with aNAIL GUN Laser Tool! seriously censors what the hell, he is killing robots!
Jim is no slouch to fighting, he did as he mentioned in the origin episode, a tour of Sierra Leone in the Canadian Army. however he runs out energy and the kankerlauts swarm him. but before Jim bites the big one! Aelita deactivates the tower and brings everyone back to the day of the arrival...with Aelita On Lyoko! Turns out, Aelita's data is full of Xana's base coding, meaning anything from Lyoko is technically property of XANA! And can't fully leave the world without coming back. Aelita can come to Earth for an Hour tops, But Jeremie is upset. with history rewritten, It means Jim was never fired, but is on the heroes case and bought Mr Delmas with him, until they lie about saying to Mr Delmas they were going to prank Sissi's gang and would have being late if it wasn't for "Jimbo!"
Jim still feeling Deja vu, thanks the warriors for a promise he can't remember, and rubs a bullet wound that longer exists!
Episode 27 opens with a new intro and the 3d gets an upgrade. Speaking of Upgrades, The Warriors now get Over-Vehicles.
Odd gets a HoverBoard called an overboard,
Ulrich gets a a Tron-esque motorcycle called an OverBike
And Yumi get an OverWing...that looks like A futurama Slowmobile!
XANA has also made addictions to it's ranks, A Creature That Odd names Tarantula, And Jeremie scans as stronger than anything they fought before!
Tarantula is voiced, with this nasally whine like all it knows is pain, his forelegs are laser turrets that he can rapid fire by standing or crouching on his hinds. also the Mark of Xana is no longer his weakpoint but painted on his strongest armour. It wipes the floor with our heroes.
But today is not a time to dwell on defeat, but to celebrate, time has elapsed since the last episode, the summer holidays! and in that time Jeremie has being busy not only creating the vechiles, but making a super scanner and an anti-virus to rewrite the code that binds Aelita to Lyoko, in otherwords, Aelita can live as a human being, she is enrolled as a border, sadly with Sissi as her room-mate!
The 1st day of term and Mrs Hertz brings Year 8 (the boys, and Aelita's class) and year 9 (Yumi's class) to a nature walk. we are introduced to a new character, William, Fecking Dunbar
A new student who got kicked out of his old school for grafittizing "love letters" to a girl, he tells Yumi this story saying "love gets me insane". Ulrich is jealous and spies on them the whole time, saying that he is just seconds away from William, And I Quote, and this was put in a kid's show, and translated into English without anyone passing through, that William is just seconds away "FROM COMPLETELY SNOWING HER!"

Jeremie has forgot his computer and left Aelita all alone in the woods, who has flashbacks of being chased by wolves, that leads her to an abandoned house called the Hermitage. Inside Xana's spectre lurks and captures it's prey. Inside this house Aelita has visions of a man in a labcoat playing a piano. When the others find her, the trap has being set and Yumi and Ulrich are trapped in a Sauna that's slowly getting hotter! Aelita has another vision, of her being lead down a secret passage that leads to the sewer that connects to the school and the factory, by the man in the labcoat!
On the ice zone, Odd and Aelita figure out that they can't defeat the Tarantulas head on, so they instead distract them to get Aelita to the tower. After the Return to the past, the others discuss the connection between Lyoko, Aelita and the Hermitage! And William has fallen Yumi, in what will be the slow burn to the fantastic Season 3!
And to add to the mystery, the season 2 outro shows a file with photos of a "Waldo Schaffer" the man in the labcoat, photographed in front of the power plant on school grounds, as a science teacher in Kadic, in front of the hermitage with a pregnant woman ,with the year 1994 writing on the back on passport photos!
RUH ROH, RHAGGY! LOOKS LIKE WE HAVE A MYSTERY TO SOLVE!
The first clues and uncovered next time on episodes 28 and 29: HELLO, MY NAME IS HUMAN!
