We are In touching Distance of The Season 2 Finale, But it won't be anytime soon. To make sure the finale of Ticket To Hell comes out on time, I will be starting to review and Draft Pokemon: Zoroark, the Master of Illusions as soon as this review is finished! YOU WERE EXPECTING INITIAL D, BUT IT WAS ME, NIGHTCORE!

We start at night in Kadic Academy, and Aelita is having nightmares again, this time they are not Vague or Symbolic, It's of Federal Agents storming the Hermitage. Her Nightmares once again cause for concern. In Cheering her up, Odd jokes that his nightmare is dating Sissi and while he's doing Internet Dating (AND 14 YEARS OLD!) his newest Squeeze is a Mystery girl here at the Boarding School!

FORESHADOWING!

The Gang, Sans Yumi have a swimming class...and even Jeremie has being blessed by the Fanservice Fairy, As even The Computer Nerd has a Chiseled Six Pack under that Sweater Vest, On the Other hand, Aelita is dressed in a One piece that looks like something a girl her age would wear, But FANSERVICE IS STILL FANSERVICE!

During the lesson, The night terrors happen in Aelita's Waking moments and in her panic, she falls into the pool. Jeremie saves her without Hesitation, something I will get to when I talk character development in the Season 2 Finale Review! Back in Aelita's and Sissi's Dorm room, The pink haired girl is now in bed, Doctor's orders! But Aelita is not convinced that these Dreams are false memories and leaves after her friends return to class.

Xana has Activated a tower, but no one can can go to deal with it. Aelita goes to the Hermitage, Plagued with Memories of it being a clean home, and of the Man in the Labcoat, Playing Twinkle, twinkle, little star on a now non-existent piano!

Venturing Upstairs, she finds the Bedroom she sometimes crashes during times of stress, the visions reveal it was once a child's bedroom...the toys show that it was a girl's bedroom! Aelita gets the call to go to the factory, when she sees visions of the agents outside, when she is lead by the Man in Labcoat to the secret passage to the factory. Aelita tells the others that she knows who the Man in the Labcoat is...it is no other than Franz Hopper!

On the Desert Zone, Aelita gives herself to Xana, the others follow suit to Sector 5. Aelita is ambushed by the Syphozoa until the others arrive. Aelita gathers info instead of returning to the desert, Making her captured again by Xana. They free her and they assume on Earth that Aelita's Memories were fake. We also learn that Odd's Mystery Girl.

FORESHADOWING HAS ARRIVED!

And that brings us to...TIP TOP SHAPE!....A TERRIBLE EPISODE FILLED WITH UNCOMFORTABLE FANSERVICE, BODY-SHAMING,  A TIRED "Posses a Human and kidnap Aelita" story and a "If you can't beat them, join them" attitude to Dealing with Body Inadequacy.

It's Medical Examination Day, and after framing scenes Of Odd, Ulrich and Sissi in their Underwear! Nurse Yolanda Get's Possessed by XANA, Minutes after she, a MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL Jeers Odd about his less than average Height and Weight. XANA/YOLANDA is the toughest xana sheel to date, because she practices what she preaches. But Jeremie has a ace up his sleeve, a program that will make one person have comparable strength of a XANA/SHELL. And he gives it to Odd who was previously jeered in public, a STEROID ANALOGY! 

YOU KNOW, A KIDS SHOW!

Rounding off the Triple Bill, Is Anyone Out There (called Fighting spirit's in French) Sees Sissi organise a seance....

KID'S SHOW!

...but ends up summoning a Specter instead, the Specter is made of Slime and mildew that is invisible to direct light, the attack Splits the team in 3. Ulrich and Jeremie to face the Specter, The Girls on Sector 5 to gather info to fix the destroyed scanner program, and odd scouring all 4 zones to find a red tower. In the end the specter is too much for Jeremie and Ulrich and all 3 groups fail to fix the scanner program, so Jeremie has to perform a return to the past to fix it without incident, but XANA Gets stronger each time!

Well, this is the last review for a while!

IN September, we will be downloading at 50% Percent! Next time the Penultimate double bill will drop a whole lot of Storyline that it will change the Team forever!

WAIT A MINUTE! VERTIGO IS AN ULRICH EPISODE THAT'S NOT CENTERED AROUND SHIPPING HIM WITH YUMI OR SISSI?

For all his bravery on Lyoko, even Ulrich has a fear, and that is a fear of heights, In gym class, William beats Ulrich in a race on a climbing wall, after Ulrich's fear gets the better of him, And like the mopey teen he is, runs of in embarrassment

Meanwhile, Jeremie and Aelita have come across data that looks like an Anti-Virus that will sever Aelita's ties to Lyoko and XANA

However, the Anti-Virus instead turns Aelita invisible and Jeremie learns this by accidentally being grabby when he feels for his now-invisible girlfriend.

In the Woods surrounding Kadic Academy, Ulrich has being moping, when he hears a noise behind him, he sees his friends and they talk about how he shouldn't be ashamed of having a fear. That's when The owner of the noise Ulrich heard come into view, A pack of Wolves possessed by XANA.

"WHAT'S THE MATTER? SCARED?"

Meanwhile on Lyoko, a Now Visible Aelita is now virtualized on the Ice Zone, But there is a problem, The Anti-virus to make her Human, has worked too well, she can no longer Enter the Towers to deactivate them and now she is a sitting duck  for the sycphozoa, but she can use her Creativity to freeze hentai-face in a block of ice....wait, she could do that this whole time?

But It's only a temporary measure!

Back in the woods, the others run from the XANA/WOLVES, and poor Ulrich he has to climb to safety, but then somehow a wolf is already up the jagged rocks. Ulrich falls to reveal that the wolves are holograms....until they actually aren't! Yumi and Odd break for it, with Ulrich not far behind! 

Yumi is destroyed early, Leaving Odd alone!

To further give weight to the joke that Odd keeps getting new powers as the plot demands...we see that Odd can now swim in Digital Water to Sneak Attack Xna's monsters, ...despite us already seeing that touching the water will erase your data...because that's how Yumi died in Just in time!

Hopefully testing the theory that they can all swim in Digital Water will never come up, It's not Like XANA's Modus Operandi in Season 3 becomes Drowning Aelita, Right?

So Jeremie Debugs Aelita and she deactivates the tower. Leaving the wolves unconscious on the factory floor, Because of the Danger, Xana has once again put Jeremie in a bind and forces a Return to the past, causing the Virtual-Terrorist to grow stronger!

Episode 45 sees the arrivial of Newscaster (and wasted Potential for a secondary villain!) Thomas Vincent aka "TV". Vincent is here to Supposedly do an expose on the failure of the school system, except he singles out Jeremie, a genius with a 99% test average, and Odd, who while Dumb-As-Fuck, Odd's Grades in Artistic Subjects makes up for it! He also want's Tv to acknowledge a tv pilot he wrote, edited and Stars in, annoying the Reporter!

Xana's scheme as of late is to run our heroes ragged, Activate a tower send monsters to defend said tower, have monsters retreat, deactivate tower himself and activate a tower on a different zone! This causes the annoyed Warriors, sans Aelita, to break for lunch, and sure enough, XANA's real plan goes into action, which is , and i quote, which is, AND I QUOTE! "Using Radio waves to to weight down the clouds to cause a Blizzard!

I know I used the joke last week but to hell with it, it's not going away anytime soon!

It's all fun and Games until the Snow really pelts down, In the flurry, Sissi and Herve Hide in Vincent's Sportscar. Vincent being a jerk, Fires his Camerawoman for wasting film on what is a human interest story about the blizzard and not the Brand of sensationalism he is known for!

Finding Winter clothes, The warriors rescue Herve, Yumi and Tv, But a tree falls on Yumi, Meaning Jeremie Must launch a return to past later, But On the ice zone, Aelita is shocked to learn who strong XANA has become as the Mantras, who only live in Carthage, now have free reign. Odd has trudged to the factory, Thinking "of hot things" to stay focused!

Yumi is about to die when the return happens, and Vincent ends his one episode arc with slapstick.

Next time, We delve into 3 episodes as the season 2 finale edges closer and closer. Deja vu, Tip-top shape, and Is Anyone Out There? ...ok maybe not Tip Top shape, for reasons i will get into!

CODE LYOKO: RETURN TO THE PAST NOW!: EPISODES 42-43: A TROPE TO HANG YOURSELF WITH!

EPISODE 42 is a sci-fi trope as old as time, well as old as the 60's, so close enough: The Freaky Friday Flip. It starts with some foreshadowing with Ulrich is waiting for the others to Realize after a mission. He flips a coin to determine Odd gets realized first, only to see Yumi...Then Odd's Voice comes out of her mouth!

Odd and Yumi have switched bodies and it makes for a Bizarre Day, as Aelita and Jeremie pull an all nighter to fix the problem. Odd can't use Chopsticks and embarrasses himself by using a fork in front of Yumi's parents in her body, Yumi, being in Odd's body Gets the brunt off being slapped by 2 girls Odd is Two-Timing. Speaking of Love Life, Odd gets the "Good Idea" That since he is in Yumi's Body, that he should "Practice" asking her out, (In the original Script, Odd would use Yumi's body to Kiss Ulrich, causing Ulrich to Push "her"off but it was left out!) Leading to Odd being ...playfully forward in front of Sissi and getting photographed by the Junior Reporters, who claim it's a big scoop!

Must be a slow news day. huh?

Yumi, Being in her Boyfriend's Roommate's Body is such a missed Opportunity for them to have a heart-to-heart or an awkward Moment, Instead all they do is have Kiwi growl at Yumi and Being Offended by Odd's Foot Odour!

The Next Morning Odd and Yumi Find that their Bodies keep Disappearing at a longer rate at a time! Jeremie and Aelita have Being Decoding all night at at First it seems all it needs is a little reboot. So The others wait for Odd to appear and when he does....

Are we going to to Ignore that Odd Probably went Further With Yumi's Body Than Ulrich and William Ever Did? 

It's off to the Ice Zone we go, But the Problem is more than a little reboot, They must go to Sector 5 to get the Source code! After a Sleath attack by a Megatank of all things. Ulrich is destroyed. The stakes cannot be higher, Aelita, who is not programmed to fight, and 2 bodyguards with bodies and powers they can't control have to Survive in a Ever-changing mostly uncharted new Sector! Being Trapped in Zero Gravity, Aelita's Memories are stolen again by the Psycozoa, Until the other's make the save, Aelita Reboots the Program just as The Avatars are destroyed, Yumi in her own body sees the school's newspaper and the photos of Odd in her body being touchy-feely with Ulrich!

Number 43 is Xana's Kiss, a drable that sees a Evil Villain using a shapeshifter for the most evil purpose of all....KISSING SIDE CHARACTERS IN FRONT OF THEIR SIGNIFICANT OTHERS! Truly the most evil thing you can do with Shapeshifters! Not Replace the Government with Copies, not evil enough, we need to make the Pink-Haired Waifu Cry!

 Yeah this Episode is not good, and with the Budget being so low at times for this show, they had to reuse the scenes from the Clone Yumi episode. It's a good idea though! and I like that When Xana Takes on Jeremie's Form and kisses Aelita after an Argument Xana Caused, Aelita realizes that the Jeremie who kissed her is the fake, as Jeremie is not as Public as with his feelings towards Aelita Something Aelita jokes with the others, when she Kisses Jeremie after playfully thinking he is a clone, Jeremie's Reaction to the Kiss is Priceless!

Odd: "Is he okay?"
Ulrich: "Nah, Give he a few minutes, he's too shocked to Move!"

and they say he is still standing there to this very day...

CODE LYOKO: RETURN TO THE PAST NOW! Episodes 40-41: THE WILLIAM SHOW, FEATURING THE LYOKO WARRIORS

A short episode again but that means i have another 2 episode review tomorrow! The series has gone through A Pattern of Filler-Plot-Filler-Plot and today's and tomorrow's reviews are no different!

Code Lyoko has being somewhat dubious with the laws of physics, and i am talking about the the things on the 2d "real world"! From a Streetlight that erases Gravity to a Death laser that can be heard charging in the vacuum of space, We now have XANA possessing Kiwi, Odd's dog to start a zombie apocalypse



So all of the B-characters and Teachers are turned into zombies, trapping William, our heroes, Sissi and her Mooks, Millie and Rosa the lunchlady in the cafeteria. It's more Character Development For William to show he is a heroic Character at heart. We also confirm in a bit of slapstick that while xana has Realized monsters before they cannot enter the Towers to do so!

Ultimatum is next, one of the better episodes of season 2 and one that puts the stark reality of the consequenses of Xana's plan to possess people to do harm to our heroes!

Jeremie reveals that he has made a bomb from a car battery that will Destroy the Electromagnetic Pulse of the spectre of the possessed person...and possibly the person, the people around the person and possible the building they happen to in!

XANA has possessed Mr. Delmas, the headmaster of Kadic Academy, to kidnap Odd and Yumi in front of his students! This leads to Realistic Implications, The closure of the school, A police investigation, a Media Circus and Sissi Distraught enough to see the remaining sneak away and the police give chase, only Ulrich escapes!

In the now empty Head Office, Jeremie gets a text from Xana, Deliver Aelita to the Ice zone by 2pm or the other's will be destroyed, Xana used Yumi's Phone to send this message but when given back she calls Ulrich to tell them they are being held in the abandoned Refrigeration Units on the riverbank, not far from the factory. Ulrich learns of this and steals Jeremie's prototype of the Bomb, Not before XANA shows some humanity and make's XANA/DELMAS Put his coat on Yumi to keep his bargaining chip from freezing to death!

With Sissi's help, Jeremie and Aelita escape with principal's daughter in tow, but miss the deadline. Xana starts to torture the kidnapped heroes. Sissi Knocks Out Jeremie, so Aelita can give herself to Xana to deactivate tower. Ulrich finds the others and uses the EMP bomb to knockout XANA/DELMAS, But it's only temporary. Odd and Yumi escape to the factory as Ulrich and Sissi fight off XANA (Sissi had took Penchak Silat classes, the same Martial Art he Practices to get his attention, But gave up when he didn't notice!) To Avoid the scandal that the day has become, Jeremie risks making XANA stronger by Causing the Return to the morning of the attack, and change Sissi back to an antagonist, because why give her redemption from the Origin Story considering what they her pay-off is when Evolution comes around! But that's a rant that i may sit on til the final episode...if i ever get there!
